How is Family Philanthropy Changing the World?

By Kate Golden on April 6, 2009No Comment

BNP Paribas and Campden Research, in association with Changing Our World, have embarked on the first truly global study of family philanthropy.  The purpose of this report is to advance the understanding of ultra high net worth philanthropy – from its roots in family culture, to the individual's commitment to cause. From the structure of giving, to the philanthropist's vision of the world. Practically, this report provides analysis of survey data as well as insights from interviews to understand how individuals and families, and their family businesses, select, manage and execute their philanthropic commitments. More deeply, it documents the concerns that philanthropists have about their relationships with nonprofits, and their priorities for strengthening that relationship in the future. This is a must read for family philanthropists, nonprofits and philanthropic advisors alike.
